What You’ll Be Doing

As a Part-Time Sales Assistant at PEP, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our stores run smoothly and our customers leave happy. Your responsibilities will include:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them in finding products, and provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience.
• Sales & Promotions: Promote sales, inform customers about special deals, and help achieve store sales targets.
• Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process payments accurately, and maintain honesty in all financial transactions.
• Stock Management: Receive, organize, and manage inventory, ensuring the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the store tidy, safe, and efficient while following company procedures.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with your team to create a positive and cost-effective store environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

• Matric Certificate
• Clear Criminal Record
• Proximity: Must live within 15km of the job location
• Language Skills: Proficiency in English and/or Afrikaans
• Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills are a plus
• Retail Passion: A genuine interest in retail and delivering exceptional customer service

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following will give you an edge:

• Previous experience as a Sales Assistant, Cashier, or in a similar role
• Knowledge of retail operations and customer service best practices
• A friendly, approachable demeanor and strong communication skills
