AB InBev is inviting ambitious graduates to apply for its Procurement Internship Programme. This exciting opportunity offers hands-on experience within the procurement division — a key growth engine of the company that ensures AB InBev continues to do what it does best: brew world-class beer.
The procurement team plays a crucial role in sourcing the materials and services needed to produce and sell AB InBev’s products, while also driving efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the business.
About the Programme
This highly competitive internship consists of two phases designed to equip you with the skills and experience needed to excel in procurement and supply chain management:
- Phase 1 (Band VIII):Â 9 months
- Phase 2 (Band VII): 12–18 months
Progression to the second phase is based on performance and evaluations.
The programme follows the 70-20-10 learning model: 70% learning through on-the-job experience, 20% through mentoring and relationships, and 10% through formal coursework and training. This structure ensures a well-rounded professional development journey.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive strategic procurement projects across various categories.
- Support category managers and directors with top business projects.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives that add value and improve working capital.
- Conduct process optimisation analyses and develop improvement proposals.
- Evaluate product specifications and business requirements.
- Analyse market trends and provide recommendations for sourcing strategies.
- Source goods and services using the company’s 8-step sourcing methodology.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
- Ambitious, bold, and driven individuals who take ownership and show initiative.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Collaborative team player with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, data analytics, and presentation tools.
